What are the LearnX® Live! Awards all about?
The LearnX® Live! Awards is an international awards program that recognises multiple fields within learning, development, and talent management across the corporate, education and public-service sectors worldwide. Each year the Awards uncover incredible projects and solutions that deliver best practice and business value. We then share many of these experiences with the wider community during the LearnX® Live! Virtual Summit & Awards Show. Our objective is also to shine a light on the talented teams involved in these works, and the enterprises that support them.
What is the final deadline for submitting my application/s?
The final deadline for submission is Friday, 1st October 2021.
Who has entered the awards?
The LearnX® Live! Awards draw entries from leading global enterprises, as well as mid-sized and smaller organisations, across the corporate, academic, and public service sectors worldwide. Thousands of high-calibre entries have succeeded with a reach of over a million learners/employees positively impacted by the awarded projects since 2008.
Industry sectors that companies have entered include:
Agriculture – Aviation – Banking/Finance – Compliance – Construction – Defence – Education/Training – Energy/Utilities – Fisheries – Forestry – Government – Healthcare – Hospitality – HR – Insurance – IT – Leisure – Manufacturing – Maritime – Media – Nonprofit – Pharmacy – Professional Services (Accounting, Engineering, Legal etc) – Real Estate – Retail – Sport – Telecommunications – Transport/Logistics – Travel.
Who is eligible to enter the awards?
The Awards are open to individuals, teams, and enterprises from the corporate, education and public-service sectors worldwide, whatever their size, that have implemented/released a project/program/solution related to the learning, development, and management of enterprise talent, since January 2019. Vendors may enter with, or on behalf of a client, with prior endorsement from the client. The client must be named/mentioned in the application. Unless otherwise stated in the award description, entries can be enterprise-wide or targeted to a specific group.
Can a team enter the awards and how is a team defined?
Yes. Team entries can be submitted.
A ‘team’ is defined as being a group of two or more that has come together for the specific purpose of undertaking and completing a project. The team can be from within one enterprise or can have come together from multiple enterprises.
Team groupings are:
– A traditional team routinely operates from an officially-based workplace/office/field zone etc.
– A hybrid team routinely operates both working from home and an officially-based workplace/office/field zone etc.
– A working from home team routinely operates from multiple home-based zones.
Vendors may enter with, or on behalf of a client, with prior endorsement from the client.
Do you provide support?
Yes. If you cannot find the answer to your questions in the FAQ/G, please feel free to contact us via email firstname.lastname@example.org Please do not leave questions until the deadline as we may not be able to answer quickly due to the volume of queries being handled.
How do I register?
Firstly you need to create an account in the online awards management system (Evalato). It takes about 2 minutes to complete and you only need to do this once. On completion you will receive an email with your secure/private login details from the Evalato system.
How much does it cost to enter?
The regular fee per application is $198 AUD (incl GST).
Early payment discounts are available (see “Payments” section).
What are the entry options?
You can enter one, or multiple awards. You can use the same project/solution/program to enter various award categories but the specified criteria in each award must be met, and each category is deemed a separate application. The system allows you to switch between application forms so you can work on multiple entries before payment.
If the judges assess that your entry aligns better to another category, you will be contacted to discuss options.

How many awards can I enter?
There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit, provided you meet the specific criteria for each award.
Can I return to enter more awards?
Yes. You can return to purchase additional application/s before the final deadline, Friday, 1st October 2021.
However, you will need to create a new registration for this, and add the extra application/s.
Can I work on more than one entry?
Yes. You can work on multiple entries until the final deadline, Friday, 1st October 2021.
COMPLETING THE APPLICATION
How do the criteria work?
All criteria/questions 1 – 4 must be answered. Each criterion has a limit of 5000 characters. This is automatically tallied as you type in each panel section and includes spaces. Each criterion has been set with a specific points score. The maximum score per entry is 75 points. Once you have signed-up you will be able to view the points for each individual criterion/question.
How does the award scoring card system work?
The maximum score allocated per entry is 75 points. Upon reaching 46 points, an entrant automatically becomes a placegetter. As scoring continues the rating is as follows:
70 to 75 points – PlatinumX Winner – 7 LearnX Stars
64 to 69 points – DiamondX Winner – 6 LearnX Stars
58 to 63 points – GoldX Winner – 5 LearnX Stars
52 to 57 points – SilverX Winner – 4 LearnX Stars
46 to 51 points –BronzeX – 3 LearnX Stars
Entrants who score 45 points or fewer, are not categorised.
What backup information should I supply?
It is up to the applicant to decide what additional backup information/files should be included to strengthen their application. Upload file functions are provided in the online portal (20MB). Excessive size files can be sent via http://www.wetransfer.com or other transfer technologies.
Can I work on my application/s before payment?
No. Once you have registered your details, you can select one or more applications to enter. You will gain full access to the online portal and can edit/copy/upload and save your application/s after payment is received.
Will I be notified when I submit my application/s?
Yes. Each entry will be acknowledged by a notification email from the awards management system (Evalato) when you submit an application.
Will my application/s be judged without payment?
No. Application/s will not be judged without prior payment.
Can I edit my application after submitting?
Yes. You can edit your entry after submitting until the submission closing date, Friday, 1st October 2021.
However, you will need to contact the awards team via email, email@example.com to have your entry unlocked for editing.
Can I submit my application/s without payment?
No. The online portal will only allow application/s to be submitted once payment is received.
Can I change my application/category/s later?
To change an application from one category to another (eg Best Online Learning Model to Best Blended Learning Model) you will need to email firstname.lastname@example.org to request the change.
Can I withdraw my application/s?
Yes. All applications can be withdrawn, up to the submission deadline, Friday, 1st October 2021. However, there are no refunds. All withdrawal requests must be emailed to email@example.com
How much does it cost to enter?
The regular fee per application is $198 AUD (incl GST). Early payment discounts are available.
What are the early payment discounts?
The early payment discounts are as follows:
– Super Saver Price (Per Application) – $132 AUD (incl GST) – Ends Friday, 28th May 2021.
– Early Bird Price (Per Application)- $165 AUD (incl GST) – Ends Friday, 30th July 2021.
– Regular Price (Per Application) – $198 AUD (incl GST) – Ends Friday, 1st October 2021.
To receive the discounted rate, payment must be made by the discount end date, regardless of the registration date. The price will change in the system after the previous rate expires. Please choose carefully as there are no refunds.
How do I pay for my application/s?
Payment can be made online by credit card in the awards management system (Evalato) or via invoice. The option to pay by invoice is only available until Friday, 24th September 2021. After this date, payment must be made online via credit card at the time of registration.
If paying by invoice, the full amount of the registration fee must be received in our account. All bank charges (including fees levied by the receiving bank) are the responsibility of the applicant/customer.
How do I receive an invoice for payment?
If you require an invoice, please email firstname.lastname@example.org This option is only available until Friday, 24th September 2021, which is 7 days prior to the final deadline, Friday, 1st October 2021. When your request is received by the awards team, an invoice will be generated and emailed to you within 24hrs.
Please note that if your invoice is not paid by the due date and there is a change in the application fee, both the online system and the invoice will be updated to reflect the new amount. If paying by invoice, the full amount of the registration fee must be received in our account. All bank charges (including fees levied by the receiving bank) are the responsibility of the applicant/customer.
When do I need to pay for my application/s?
Payment is required on registration. To take advantage of one of the early payment rates you must pay by the advertised end date. If you have requested an invoice, the payment due date will be on the invoice.
Please note that if your invoice is not paid by the due date and there is a change in the application fee, both the online system and the invoice will be updated to reflect the new amount.
I paid online by Credit Card. Will I receive a Tax Invoice?
Yes. You will receive a Tax Invoice via email within 7 days.
Are there any refunds?
No. There are no refunds.
Can application/s be withdrawn?
Yes. All applications can be withdrawn, up to the deadline, Friday, 1st October 2021, but there are no refunds.

Do applications remain confidential?
Yes. The status of the LearnX Live! Awards is such that you may need to include confidential information as part of your entry. All information supplied will be restricted to the awards’ management team/judges and remain strictly confidential. All work relating to an entry is guaranteed via non-disclosure agreements (NDA’s) signed by the awards management team and judges. Applications are released to the judging panel after the final deadline closes. The precise scoring of each entry remains confidential to the awards management team and judges. All submitted materials are deleted and/or destroyed post judging process. Judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into prior/post judging.
Are applications judged on merit or against other applications?
Applications are judged on merit/results, not against each other. Projects/solutions are unique to each company (small, medium, large) and judged in accordance with that distinctiveness. Criteria 1 sets the scene/uniqueness for the judges and impacts all other criteria. This is the most just/objective and practical process to adjudicate the awards program.
What is the judging order of the application/s?
Awards are judged in order of their online submission ‘lodgement time’ in each category – e.g., the first award submitted for ‘Best Online Learning Model’ gets judged first and the last award submitted for ‘Best Online Learning Model’ gets judged last.
Are judges remunerated for their professional services?
Yes. Judges are remunerated for their services, to support the highest standard of adjudicating. They are explicitly trained in the Awards adjudicating processes and systems and are selected for their professional expertise and knowledge of modern learning, capability, technologies, and talent management practices. Judges are selected through a nomination process.
How are the Awards judged?
The Awards’ management team recognises that industry sectors may differ significantly and, as such, judging will be merit/results based, not comparative. To leverage the best responses from entrants, the framing of the criteria has been designed with critical questioning that has been derived from our research and feedback during a decade of awards management and adjudicating.
Each scoring section is a pressure point, designed as a task so that the entrant can navigate the criteria pragmatically, and allows the judges to score each criterion validly, and objectively. Entrants are encouraged to highlight the significance of the submissions’ context in – Criteria (Part A, 1). This will create the narrative and impact the quality and integrity of the submission for adjudicating.
Can someone be nominated to be a judge?
Yes. To be accepted for initial evaluation, a person must have been nominated by three individuals from separate organisations. Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominations for potential judges need to address in 150 words or fewer, the nominee’s credentials for judging via email to email@example.com Judges are limited to 1 term (3 years). There are no vendors on the judging panels or awards management team.
When will the results be announced and publicised?
All entrants above 45 points are regarded as placegetters and will be notified via email on Friday, 15th October 2021. Outright category winners will be announced via video stream during the LearnX® Live! Awards Show, Wednesday, 17th November 2021. (Exact timings TBA soon)
What are the award-winners’ entitlements?
PlatinumX – DiamondX – GoldX – SilverX – BronzeX receive one certificate per winning entry, including postage/handling (P/H). Additional certificates, including P&H will be available for purchase and charged on an individual basis to the recipient. Award-winner logos will be supplied to winners for internal/external promotions.
Winners names will be categorised/posted online after the award-winners announcement, end of November 2021.
Winners engraved crystal trophies will only be available for purchase upon request. Postage and handling fees will apply.
At the time of publication of these guidelines, the exact price of trophies and certificates is not available. The prices will be available post event ceremony in November 2021 when suppliers confirm these details.
How has the ‘Covid-19 Pandemic’ impacted the event?
Covid-19 has critically impacted the events industry. LearnX® Live! has had to reset its event model in line with professional/legal opinions, community wellbeing and industry expectations. Regrettably, the potential risk of managing a ‘face to face’ event and the unrewarding effects this could have on all parties involved (LearnX® services, venue management, HR services, attendees, vendors, partner/sponsors, expo builders etc) has meant that LearnX® Live! Awards will remain as a virtual event in 2021.
The 2020 virtual online Summit and Awards Show was a massive success, and 2021 is promising to be equally successful thanks to the continued support of all parties involved.
Do you guarantee that the virtual event will go-ahead?
Yes. Planning and delivering a face-to-face event in pandemic times involves a great deal of risk management and analysis. Unlike pre-covid times, there can be no 100% guarantee that a face-to-face event will go-ahead, but we can practically guarantee 100% that the virtual event will.
Will LearnX® Live! Awards Show return to pre-covid normality in 2022?
Yes. The future of 2022 is looking extremely promising for a successful return to a face-to-face event, to honour and celebrate the winning organisations, teams, and individuals involved. This will be held in Melbourne (dates TBA).
By submitting an application to the LearnX® Live! Awards, the applicant/s are agreeing to adhere to the above-mentioned terms and conditions of entry at all times. These terms and condition may change due to technical requirements and events beyond our control, with or without notice. The frequently asked questions and terms and condition may be updated to exclude information/timelines that are no longer relevant.
LearnX® Live! Awards reserves the right to refuse or disqualify an application without recourse if the guidelines are not followed or for any reason deemed necessary.
